Every year Tamil Nadu state arrange the TNEA counselling for giving admission into various engineering colleges of TN. In TNEA each student will be given a TNEA Rank. According to the TNEA Rank the admission is given to engineering colleges of Tamill Nadu.
Since Now all the Tamil nadu results are decalred. TNEA Counselling 2011 will be held shortly by TNEA Counselling Board. Simialiarly Anna University will take the Anna University Counselling 2011 for giving admission into various engineering braches of Anna University. Candidates have to pay an initial deposit of Rs.5,000/- (Rs.1,000/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) at the time of tnea counselling.Candidates are advised to be present two hour before the commencement of the tnea counselling session. This year additional 1200 seats have been added in Govt. and govt. Aided colleges which sums upto a total 0f 3360 seats.

TOTAL NO.OF SEATS IN SELF FINANCING ENGINEERING for TNEA 2011 COLLEGES:-1,34,481 seats

This year 2011 TNEA counselling ends 10-15 days lates compared to last year.And more no. of applications have been sold than last year.

Last date to submit filled-in application forms:-May 31st,2011.

Notification of Anna University TNEA Counselling Application Form : The Anna University ,which is of the affiliated type is a member of the Association of Indian Universities, the Association of Commonwealth Universities and Partner of UNESCO International Center for Engineering Education (UICEE). Rules for Anna University Counselling 2011 - 2012 :

1. Common application form to seek admission to University Departments of Anna University, University Departments and University Colleges of Anna Universities of Technology, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges and for the seats surrendered by the Self – Financing Engineering Colleges, under the Unified Single Window Admission System for Indian Nationals.
2. Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu will be considered for Admission.
3. Candidates belonging to Otherstate (eligible for open community only) must satisfy atleast one of the conditions mentioned in the "Information and Instructions to the Candidates", to apply as Tamil Nadu candidate.
