The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET 2011) for admission to professional courses in the state will be held from April 28th to 30. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will soon start to issuing application forms of CET 2011 and further procedures.
Bangalore: Counselling of students who have passed the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Karnataka Government for admissions to professional degree courses, will began here with special category students attending on the opening day today.
Karnataka offers huge number of Engineering seats in CET Counselling 2011
Admissions for Medical, Dental and Engineering Courses would be announced following the counseling. Seats would be allotted on basis of ranking in nearly 200 government and aided institutions across the State.
This year, 5,783 candidates have qualified for admission to Medical and Dental courses, 44,468 for Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy Courses, 71,639 for Engineering and 673 for Architecture Courses, Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) Spokesperson DS Narasimha Murthy said.
This would be followed by counselling for Medical and Dental Courses starting June 10.
CET 2011 of Karnataka will be held at 228 centres across the state. KEA issues application forms in February every year. CET 2011 Application forms will be issued in February, and candidates will have a month’s time to apply,” said a KEA official. You can also apply for CET 2011 Online from the website of Karnataka CET 2011. KEA is expecting a larger number of candidates this year as compared to previous years as free coaching has been introduced for rural students this year.
The forms for Karnataka CET 2011 will be available in schools and colleges of the Karnataka CET. for the outside candidates of Karnataka the Karnataka CET 2011 Application form can be obtained by post from KEA by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
