The setting up of a separate Department of Biotechnology (DBT), under the Ministry of Science and Technology in 1986 gave a new impetus to the development of the field of modern biology and biotechnology in India.

You can apply online for the DBT JRF 2011 Entrance Examination. For that you need fill up some necessary information in online application form link given below. Award of Junior Research Fellowship to the qualifying candidate for pursuing research in Biotechnology and Applied Biology. The Application Fee Demand Draft should be in favour of "MKCL", payable at Pune and drawn from any Nationalised Bank.

DBT JRF Application Form 2011

Department of Biotechnology (DBT) is expected to declare the DBT JRF 2011 results very shortly for which the exam was held on 18th April, 2011. I will update this page once the Results for DBT JRF 2011 will be online.
The Department of Biotechnology is implementing an integrated programme of human resource development in biotechnology comprising of postgraduate teaching programmes in biotechnology.
List of successful candidates in DBT JRF 2011 will be published online and Award letters will be sent to them after receiving necessary documents.
