Vidyasagar College, Kolkata is a living monument of the untiring labours of Pandit Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar. This is the first private college held its own place in the field of education. Vidyasagar College was founded in the year 1872. Located in North Kolkata, near College Street, the college has a residential hostel accommodation for the students in an adjacent building on the Bidhan Sarani for facilitating students from far areas, to reside in the hostel and study in the college.

Vidyasagar College Admission 2011-12 :-

APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION TO THE FIRST YEAR B.A./B.Sc./B.Com CLASSES WILL BE RECEIVED ONLINE. B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Admission will be closed after 1 month of process for the session 2011-2012.

Online admission forms is available from the websites www.vidyasagarcollege.edu.in and www.wbcas.com and the same are to be filled in and submitted on-line. The last date for online submission of form is 13.06.2011 up to 24.00 hours. Application fee of Rs 100/-(Rupees One hundred only) per form is to be deposited at any branch of Indian Overseas Bank of West Bengal on presentation of Pay-in-slip (Bank Copy) which can be downloaded after submitting forms on-line. The list of branches of IOB (CBs) is available while filling up the Pay-in-slip. The last date of submission of application fee is 15.06.2011 .
Any Vidyasagar College application form containing wrong and/incomplete information will be rejected and not considered for admission.

Admission is strictly on the basis of merit. For provisional merit list of the candidates, the date of assembly, time, venue, etc in each subject/stream and also for related information the applicants are directed to visit our websites after the publication of merit list.

Application Fees are to be submitted at the College Counter on producing the Print out of the Application Form & Money Receipt generated during online-submission and the Counterfoils are to be endorsed at the time of submission of the Application Fees.
