Notification of NCTE TET 2011 Application Form dates & Syllabus : The National Council for Teacher Education, in its previous status since 1973, was an advisory body for the Central and State Governments on all matters pertaining to teacher education. Now NCTE has published notification saying that Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will be compulsory to become a primary teacher of Class I to Class VIII. As per the notification NCTE TET 2011 - 2012 Examination will be conducted by each states board.

Still exact notification for exam date and form allotment is not announced, But we are just putting an estimation about it.
Eligibility for NCTE TET 2011 - 2012 :-
A person who has acquired the academic and professional qualifications specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.
A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.
NCTE TET Syllabus 2011 - 2012 :
The Syllabus and content of the TET is given in the following paragraphs. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking. The examining body should strictly adhere to the structure and content of the NCTE TET 2011 - 2012 specified below.
According to the NCTE TET Syllabus, There will be two papers. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher either for classes I to V or for classes VI to VIII will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II). So please read the full Syllabus of NCTE TET 2011 carefully before you going to appear into the examination.
So total of 150 questions will be asked in Paper 1 and Paper 2. A person who scores 60% or more in the NCTE TET 2011 will be considered as TET pass. School managements (Government, local bodies, government aided and unaided)

Frequency of conduct of TET 2011 and validity period of TET certificate :
The appropriate Government should conduct a TET at least once every year. The Validity Period of TET qualifying certificate for appointment will be decided by the appropriate Government subject to a maximum of seven years for all categories. But there will be no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a TET Certificate. A person who has qualified TET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
Availability of NCTE TET Application form 2011 - 2012 :
Application forms for the NCTE TET 2011 will be available from the designed banks at your local address. You can get the form by giving fees or demand draft at SBI bank. If you apply online, you need to send the NCTE TET 2011 Application form along with the demand draft to the NCTE delhi office. Still the exact notification regarding the fees and last date of form is not published officially. Please check below link to download the form of next RTE TET Examination.

Sales of application form : 3rd week of May.
Last date of RTE - TET Application Form : Mid June, 2011.
Issue of admit card : within a 15 days from closing of form.
NCTE TET Exam Date : 1st week of July.
Declaration of Results : last week of July, 2011.
