Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi conducts an entrance exam for admission to its full time MBA programs: MBA & MBA(MS). FMS-DU started in 1954 and since then is a premium institute for management education in India. It is constantly ranked amonst the top ten B-Schools of India. Therefore getting admission in its MBA program is considered to be highly prestigious for a management aspirant. Over the years, the institutes has proudly produced high grade managers that have the mettle to converge new technologies along with old system and make them work in almost perfect co-ordination. The overall seat distribution of the degree in discipline is as follows: MBA 226; part time MBA 232; part time MBA (HCA) 42; Ph.D maximum of 20. The institutes provide the right kind of exposure to the candidates and thereby allow them to explore greater level of career opportunities that lead them in the right direction.
FMS has affiliations with the top universities of the world like University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and University of Trinidad. FMS is located in the North Campus of University of Delhi and also has its own premise in South Campus. It conducts its own entrance test for admission to its MBA programs. Candidates who clear the written test are then called for Personal Interview and General Discussion after which the final selection is done.
For appearing in FMS 2011,you have to fill up the application. You can download the FMS 2011 application online or offline. Every year FMS Delhi Application forms available in the month of September. Next year you can print the FMS forms 2011 in same month.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate should have a 3 years bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institute. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also applly. In addition a candidate should have also got a minimum percentage in Graduation according to their field of graduation:
• Medicine, Engineering and Technology: CGPA of 6 on 10 or 60 percent.
• Science: 55 percent
• Commerce, Arts, and Social Sciences: 50 percent
• Statistics or Mathematics: 60 percent
OR
Post Graduation Degree with atleast 60% marks.
A candidate should be atleast 20 years of age as on 1st October, 2010. There is 5% relaxation in minimum marks required for candidates belonging to reserved categories. The candidates age as well as nationality are taken into account during the admission process.
Availability of Application forms for FMS 2011:
The forms for FMS 2011 will be available in designated branches of State Bank of India. Candidates can also download the FMS Delhi form online through the website www.fms.edu. Candidates can also apply online through the same website and payment can be done through demand draft/credit card. The candidates that are interested in undertaking the application form through post have to clearly mention the registration number over the top of the requisite letter. Otherwise, the candidates have to submit a copy of attested from duly signed by the Gazette officer. The candidates also have to submit a copy of Mark Sheet clearly mentioning the marks obtained by the respective candidate. Furthermore, the candidate should also clearly provide a signature sample along with two color photographs that should not be less than six months old. The photo should also mention the date of the day on which the photo was taken.

FMS 2011 Selection Procedure :-
Candidates who get selected in the written test are called for General Discussion, Extempore and a personal interview. On basis of the score in written test, interview, GD, academic record, work experience etc final selections are made.
There are Two ways by which you can apply for FMS 2011 programmes: Physical Form mode or Online Application mode.
Mode-I (FMS Physical Form)
Information bulletin along with the FMS application form 2011 can be purchased from the designated branches of State bank of India located in the cities specified in the advertisement for the admission test. The cost of the Information bulletin also includes the Admission test fee as per the following:
For General category (unreserved) candidates:
a. Applying for M.B.A. only : Rs. 750/-
b. Applying for M.B.A. (Management of Services) only: Rs. 750/-
c. Applying for Both M.B.A. and M.B.A. (Management of Services): Rs. 1250
d. Applying for Ph.D : Rs. 750
For SC, ST, OBC (Non- Creamy Layer), PH, and CW candidates
a. Applying for M.B.A. only : Rs. 200/-
b. Applying for M.B.A. (Management of Services) only: Rs. 200/-
c. Applying for Both M.B.A. and M.B.A. (Management of Services) both: Rs. 350/-
d. Applying for Ph.D : Rs. 200/-
At the designated SBI branches, applicants have to fill-in a printed Bank payment counter-foil (supplied by FMS) with their Name, Name of the Branch and the required amount. The bank will return two portions of the counter-foil to the candidate along with a packet containing the Information bulletin and the application form.
The Candidate is required to attach one stamped counterfoil, in original, with the duly filled application form while sending it to FMS 2011 Application form without the counter-foil or with the counter-foil showing incorrect amount will be rejected and the amount received will not be refunded.
Mode-II (FMS Online Registration)
For apply online registration you should visit FMS website http://www.fms.edu. Fill the require information, after that you should pay admission fee it has two ways choose as per your suitability
A: Payment through Demand Draft:
There is a page appear as admit card format which has stating candidate name, address, space of photograph, signature and the amount to be paid by students as FMS 2011 test fee. Take a printout of that page affix your photograph. Send the filled form with Demand draft (in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi' and made payable at Delhi) with all you documents required i.e. caste/category certificate to Administrative Officer, Faculty of management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007. Post it before the Last date of FMS 2011
B: Payment through online Internet Payment Gateway:
You can pay also direct through credit card/debit card. After the successful payment you would get back to the admission page of the FMS website. Take a printout of this page affix your photograph and put your signature at necessary places. Send the filled form with Demand draft (in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi' and made payable at Delhi) with all you documents required i.e. caste/category certificate to Administrative Officer, Faculty of management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007. Post it before the Last date of FMS 2011
