Maharashtra State DTE takes the MHA-CAT examination every year. This year MHA-CAT exam 2012 was taken in April month. From the Results of CAT exam Diploma board of Maharashtra - DTE admission to the MBA/MCA and Engineering First year is given.

Directorate of Technical Education and it's Regional offices are partly computerised and the web site of the Directorate is launched at http://www.dte.org.in . All the officers including the regional offices are having E-Mail accounts.

Currently Online MBA/MCA/Engineeing First Year Admission 2012 is given by www.dte.org.in. So now from www.dte.org.in student can find out that which diploma/degree college seat is currently available in Maharashtra. For Engineeing/MBA and MCA first year counselling www.dte.org.in website of MHA-DTE runs three phase or round. Currently almost two phase for admission into first year are completed. So find out the vacant seats in third phase for first year admission into maharashtra colleges.

One new Co-ed polytechnic under the name Institute of Petrochemical Engineering started at Lonare, (Dist Raigad). It caters to 3 diploma and 3 post diploma courses.
Two women residential polytechnics, one at Latur and other at Yavatmal are started. Both the polytechnics have started their academic work from the academic year 1994-95.

Five existing polytechnics are having Women Wings. They are catering courses as given below

2) Govt. Polytechnic, Jalgaon - Computer Engineering
3) Govt. Polytechnic, Aurangabad - Dress Designing & Garment Mfg.

5) Govt. Polytechnic, Pune - Computer Engineering

In Engineering colleges & polytechnics 30% seats in degree admissions are reserved for women to pursue technical education and 30% seats are also reserved in employment for them. This has resulted into motivation for women student towards technical education.

Reporting of Round-2 is Extended till 21st August 2012 upto 5pm.

Option Application Form Form Submission of CAP Round 3 will start on 25th August 2012 and will end on 27th August 2012
