Bachelor of Technology (BTech) [Specialization: Bio-Technology; Information Technology; Petro-Chemical Technology]

The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central / State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi, OR Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board / University OR Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy OR Any Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India recognised as equivalent to 10+2 system, OR H.S.C. Vocational Examination, OR A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects, OR 3 or 4 year diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education, OR Any other equivalent qualification.
Note: In order to pass the Architectural Aptitude Test, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 40% marks. AGE: Should have completed 17 years as on 1st July 2009
Bachelor of Architecture (BArch)
5 Years : 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks. OR International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination. OR No candidate, with less than 50% marks in aggregate, shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he /she has passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 Scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as subjects of examination at the 10+2 level.
All Admissions to Architecture degree course shall be subject to passing of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture.
Note: In order to pass the Architectural Aptitude Test, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 40% marks. AGE: Should have completed 17 years as on 1st July 2009.
How to Apply :
Applications can be obtained from the Main University Campus at Thanjavur or from the information centres listed below or can be downloaded from our website or from any core banking service branch of Indian Overseas Bank.
Application Fee: Rs. 750/- (For SC/ST candidates Rs. 500/-) in the form of crossed DD or IPO or IOB Challan drawn in favour of “The Registrar, PMU, Vallam, Thaniavur” payable at Vallam, Thaniavur.
Submission of filled in applications: To be submitted to The Registrar, Periyar Maniammai Vallam, Thanjavur- 613403, Tamil Nadu along with the Application fee (if sending the downloaded application) and a self addressed stamped envelope of 27cm x 12cm size.)
